Note from the Costume Director:

"I moved to Maui on September 8, 2001, three days before 9/11. So, it has been such a meaningful experience to work on Come From Away at Maui OnStage. The original costume design by Toni-Leslie James is nothing short of brilliant. Toni created a look that is deceptively simple, yet masterfully constructed to support rapid character changes while making it seem as though the actors aren’t wearing “costumes” at all. She once said it was one of the hardest shows she’s ever designed.  Her work is so precise, so thoughtful, and so effective that I didn’t want to make any major changes to her vision. It’s perfect. As the Costume Director, I'm pulling together all the pieces and working to realize her vision as faithfully as possible. I’m also grateful to the volunteers from The Sewing Hui, who are assisting with alterations to ensure everything fits beautifully for our actors.  I hope you enjoy this moving story of compassion and resilience.
