Fiber Arts Show
The Maui County Fair Fiber Arts Show celebrates the creativity, craftsmanship, and cultural traditions of Maui County's fiber artists. The show encourages participation by makers of all ages and skill levels, supports the preservation of traditional Hawaiian fiber arts, promotes innovation through contemporary and upcycled fiber arts, and provides an inspiring exhibition for our community to enjoy.​ The show will be held on October 1–4, 2026, at the Queen KaÊ»ahumanu Center.

The 2026 show features categories including Traditional Hawaiian Fiber Arts, Crochet, Knit, Needlework, Sewing, Loom Weaving, Yarn, Quilting, and Upcycled Fiber Arts, offering a wide range of opportunities for fiber artists to share their work.

Divisions are open to:

Keiki (ages 5–11)
-
Youth (ages 12–17)
-
Adult (ages 18+)
-
Kūpuna (55 and over)
-
Professional (Age 18 and over, with sales or teaching experience)

Entry Details (2026):

Deadline to Enter: September 20, 2026

Drop-off: September 12–20, 2026, at Sew Special in Kahului.

Entry Fee: $5.00 per item (limit two items per section, multiple sections allowed)

Pick-up: Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 2:00 pm–6:00 p.m. at the Fiber Arts Show exhibit location.

Awards are given in each division, category, and section, with special honors for Best of Show, a Grand Prize Award for the top exhibit, and the popular People’s Choice Award, voted on by the public.
