Fiber Arts Show
The Maui County Fair proudly presented the return of the Fiber Arts Show, a celebration of creativity, craftsmanship, and community. The show was held during the 103rd Maui County Fair, October 2–5, 2025, at the Queen KaÊ»ahumanu Center. Due to its success, the Fiber Arts Show will return again in 2026.

The Fiber Arts Show highlighted the talent of Maui County’s makers—from keiki to kÅ«puna, hobbyists to seasoned professionals. The 2025 show featured categories including Crochet, Knit, Needlework, Sewing, Weaving, Yarn, and Quilting, offering a wide range of opportunities for fiber artists to share their work.

Divisions were open to:

Keiki (ages 5–11)
-
Youth (ages 12–17)
-
Adult (ages 18+)
-
Kūpuna (65 and over)
-
Professional (any age, with sales or teaching experience)

Entry Details (2025):

Deadline to Enter: Friday, September 19, 2025

Drop-off: September 15–19, 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. at the Maui County Fair Office trailer (War Memorial Gym parking lot)

Entry Fee: $5.00 per item (limit one per section, multiple sections allowed)

Pick-up: Sunday, October 5, 4:00–8:00 p.m. at Queen KaÊ»ahumanu Center

Awards were given in each division and category, with special honors for Best of Show, a Grand Prize Award for the top exhibit, and the popular People’s Choice Award, voted on by the public.
“The Fiber Arts Show is about more than competition—it’s about honoring the rich traditions of our island while inspiring future generations of makers,” said Jennifer Oberg, Chair of the Fiber Arts Show and founder of The Sewing Hui.
