In collaboration with Maui OnStage and Wave of Harmony, The Sewing Hui co-organized a Theater Portfolio Workshop for Maui teens and parents.

The workshop was a FREE, one-day workshop to help students explore college theater programs and learn how to build a portfolio for applications in theater design, production, and stage management. It was open to all Maui teens interested in pursuing technical theater beyond high school. 

​

Highlights included:

• Meeting five current Carnegie Mellon University drama students, who shared their portfolios, college application experiences, and advice.

• Hearing from Maui Theater Professionals who shared how they got started, and what it’s like to work behind the scenes in live theater.

• Gaining insights into choosing college programs and preparing for a career in theater

• And a Q&A with the CMU students and professionals.
